They run! They jump! They bite anything that moves and then...they tear the Kenai River up while you stand and get a little exercise. These SILVER BULLETS are considered the real "athletes" of the salmon world, but the pleasant surprise is that it is some of our most simple, relaxing and enjoyable fishing on the Kenai. Oh by the way, Wild Coho is some of the most delicious tasting salmon you can eat.
On even years, there is a run of Pink "HUMPY" Salmon, which weigh 4-7 pounds. In August, there are so many it is hard to believe and you will get a mixed bag of Pinks and Silvers. This is a fabulous opportunity for young kids from 6-60...you know who you are! For this reason, I strongly suggest a FULL DAY of fishing to catch more fish than you have in a long time.
