The Grand Slam

What is a Grand Glam?

A Grand Slam is achieved by any one angler catching 3 specific fish in a 24 hour period. There are many types of slams that can be caught between inshore and nearshore waters. Below is a list of the different Grand Slams that we can target together here in north and central Florida:

Inshore Grand Slam: Red drum, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder

Back Country Grand Slam: Red Drum, Snook, Tarpon

Shoreline Grand Slam: Sheepshead, Kingfish (Whiting), Florida Pompano

Bay & Estuary Grand Slam: Gray (Mangrove) Snapper, Snook, Spanish Mackerel

Family Grand Slam: Any three fish in the same family (for ex: Red Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Lane Snapper)

Nearshore Grand Slam: Cobia, Tripletail, King Mackerel (seasonal)

Small Fry Slam (15 and under): Pinfish, Grunt (any), Catfish (any)

Any angler who catches a Grand Slam with us will have their achievement registered with FWC for prizes and recognition on the FWC club members page.
